Master’s Degree Thesis

A master’s degree in pharmaceutical sciences specializing in Pharmacology and Pharmacotherapeutics was awarded to the Pharmacist / Ashraf Alam El-Din Noah for the thesis entitled: “Effect of Empagliflozin on Neuropilin-1 Signaling Pathway in Experimental Liver Fibrosis.”

The discussion took place in the presence of Prof. Mahmoud Mohy El-Din, President of Pharos University in Alexandria, Prof. Mokhtar Yousef, PUA’s Vice President for Post-Graduate Studies, Prof. Maged El-Ghazouly, Dean of PUA’s Faculty of Pharmacy, Prof. Rasha Shaalan, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy for Post-Graduate Studies, Prof. Rasha El-Bayaa, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Safaa El-Rewini, Head of the Pharmacology and Pharmacotherapeutics Department, and Dr. Mohamed Onsi Al-Shafei, President of the Alexandria Pharmacists Syndicate.

Further, the presented thesis was supervised by Prof. Inas Darwish, Professor of Pharmacology and Therapeutics, PUA’s Faculty of Pharmacy, Prof. Elham Awad, Professor of Pharmacology and Toxicology, Faculty of Pharmacy, Alexandria University, and Dr. Nesrine El-Mezayen, Lecturer of Pharmacology and Therapeutics, PUA’s Faculty of Pharmacy.

The thesis discussion committee included Prof. Hanan El-Gowelli, Professor of Pharmacology and Toxicology and Vice Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy for Education and Students at Alexandria University, and Prof. Asser Ghoneim; Professor of Pharmacology and Toxicology and Vice Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy for Community Service Affairs at Damanhur University.
