Liver Diseases and Diagnostic Methods
In alignment with its strategy to foster health awareness and preventive practices among youth, PUA’s Community Service and Environmental Development Center (CSED) supported an educational awareness seminar organized by the Faculty of Applied Health Sciences Technology on liver diseases and diagnostic techniques, commemorating World Hepatitis Day. The seminar took place in the presence of the Faculty Dean, the Vice Dean, faculty members, and numerous students, aiming to elevate health literacy regarding liver health and early intervention.
The seminar featured student-led presentations delivering structured awareness sessions on various liver disorders, risk factors, and preventative lifestyle habits. Students highlighted the importance of early clinical diagnosis, routine medical follow-ups, and modern diagnostic technologies in mitigating disease complications, translating complex medical concepts into accessible guidance for their peers.
This health initiative underscores PUA’s commitment to supporting impactful public health programs, encouraging students to act as community health ambassadors while advancing the university’s core mission of institutional civic engagement and sustainable social development.
