Languages and Translation at the French Institute
PUA’s Faculty of Languages and Translation participated in a high-level cultural and literary seminar hosted by the French Institute. This event is part of the Student Activities Department’s plan to integrate students into the international cultural movement and broaden their literary horizons.
Lebanese author Charif Majdalani presented his famous novel, “Le nom des rois” (Names of the Kings) during the session as part of the “Choix Goncourt de l’Orient” initiative, organized under the auspices of the Agency for Francophone Universities (AUF) Middle East. The seminar provided an expansive space for open dialogue and offered an ideal platform for exchanging ideas and critical perspectives between the author and the audience.
This experience contributed to enriching the students’ linguistic and cultural knowledge while enhancing their ability to communicate directly with contemporary literary figures in an inspiring intellectual environment.
