Impact of Using Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality on Interior Design

As part of PUA’s student activities programs, the Faculty of Arts and Design organized a workshop entitled “The Impact of Using Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality on Interior Design”. The workshop was prepared and presented by Dr. Salma Youssef Wahba, Lecturer, Décor Department. The workshop was launched with presenting the concept of virtual reality, which has an effective role in changing the intellectual and designing concepts of interior spaces.

This is followed by the participation of students in a practical experience of reformulating the internal space. This is according to the requirements of the virtual environment surrounding the user, interacts with his senses, and introduces him into an imaginary world that appears as if it is realistic.

At this point, the designer can create a state of renewal and continuous creativity in the interior design, that would not make the recipients bored as they use it.
