The Faculty of Applied Health Sciences held a student awareness activity on the importance of handwashing and its proper way. This activity coincides with the celebration of Global Handwashing Day. It also raised awareness of the importance of early detection of breast cancer on the occasion of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

 

This activity was held under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Ragaa Abdel Qader, Head of Department and Dean of the Faculty of Applied Health Sciences Technology, and Prof. Dr. Hamdy Al-Wakeel, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs.

 

Further. the organizing staff members, namely Dr. Maha Naga, Dr. Enass Radwan, Department Lecturers, supervised the Department students who designed posters to raise awareness of the importance of handwashing and its proper way.

 

Moreover, a number of questions were asked to the audience about the topic, and the erroneous information was corrected. A poster was also hung to raise awareness of the importance of early detection of breast cancer.

 

This activity comes within the framework of the student activities the Faculty is keen on participation in under the supervision of Dr. Esraa Mounir.
