Dentistry’s Orientation Day
PUA’s Faculty of Dentistry highlighted the strategic goals and community initiatives of its Community Service and Environmental Development Committee during the Orientation Day for newly admitted students. This initiative aims to familiarize future dental professionals with volunteer frameworks and outreach campaigns, embedding social responsibility and community service within their academic journey from day one.
A representative from the faculty’s Community Service Center delivered an informative presentation detailing the committee’s role in promoting civic engagement and reviewing upcoming health and environmental projects organized with the faculty. The speaker emphasized the importance of dental students joining community clinics and volunteer field missions, enabling them to apply theoretical knowledge and clinical skills to serve local communities while fostering professional ethics and civic pride.
These orientation activities emphasize PUA’s strategy to solidify community service values among healthcare students, successfully bridging academic training with impactful field practice to produce highly competent and compassionate dental professionals.
