Dark Web and Social Security

PUA’s Faculty of Legal Studies and International Transactions hosted an awareness seminar titled “Dark Web Risks and Their Impact on Social Security”. This initiative aligns with the efforts of the Community Service and Environmental Development Center (CSED) to promote digital literacy and legal culture. Dr. Walid Hassan Fahmy, Professor and Chair of the Public International Law Department, explored the concept of the Dark Web and its associated threats, particularly organized cybercrime, fraud, and digital hacking.

The seminar featured extensive discussions on the legal aspects and legislation governing cybercrime, highlighting effective digital protection mechanisms. The lecturer emphasized the central role of social awareness in mitigating cyberspace risks and urged students to adopt safe internet usage standards to protect their data and privacy. This event underscores PUA’s role in shielding youth from modern technical threats and linking legal studies with rapid digital transformations that affect individual and social security.
