Awareness Workshop on Environmental Preservation

Taking conscious steps toward a more sustainable environment, PUA continues the activities of its fourth environmental campaign, “Green Pharos.” The Green Pharos Committee at the Faculty of Tourism and Hotel Management hosted an awareness workshop titled “The Importance of Environmental Preservation”, aligned with PUA’s Community Service Center efforts to promote environmental awareness and sustainability culture.

The workshop addressed the importance of environmental protection and natural resource preservation, emphasizing daily practices that reduce pollution. Discussions focused on conserving water and energy consumption, reducing single-use plastics, and managing proper waste disposal to foster positive eco-friendly behaviors. Furthermore, the session aimed to establish environmental responsibility among students, encouraging them to adopt sustainable practices and spread awareness to safeguard natural resources and improve quality of life.

This event reflects the continuous efforts of PUA’s Community Service Center to support Green Pharos Committee activities across all faculties. PUA continues to reinforce its civic role in serving the Alexandrian community through environmental initiatives that contribute to sustainable development goals.
