In adherence to the directives of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Muhammad Al-Meligy, the Dean of PUA’s Faculty of Engineering, an awareness session addressing the perils of drug addiction was conducted. Organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Solidarity, the session featured a lecture delivered by Prof. Dr. Amr Othman, First Assistant of the Minister of Social Solidarity, and Director of the Fund for Drug Control and Treatment of Addiction (FDCTA).

Commencing with a welcoming address from the Dean, the lecture proceeded with Dr. Moamen Muharram outlining the significant measures undertaken by the Faculty administration to educate students on the hazards associated with addiction and drug abuse. Recognizing the importance of awareness initiatives, PUA’s Vice President commended the efforts of the Fund in safeguarding youth against addiction.

Further, Prof. Dr. Amr Othman provided insights into the Fund’s operations and expressed openness to enhanced collaboration between PUA and the Fund for combating and treating addiction and abuse in the future. Concluding the session, both the Dean and the First Assistant exchanged commemorative plaques as a token of mutual appreciation.
