Alzheimer’s Awareness Seminar

PUA’s Faculty of Applied Health Sciences Technology hosted an awareness seminar titled “Alzheimer’s Disease Awareness,” as part of the Community Service and Environmental Development Center’s (CSED) efforts to enhance health literacy. The seminar featured key lectures by Prof. Dr. Marwa Ahmed Gouda, Professor of Internal Medicine at Alexandria University’s Faculty of Medicine, and Dr. Mohamed Mostafa Mohamed, Lecturer at the same faculty.

The seminar provided a comprehensive understanding of Alzheimer’s disease, exploring its causes, stages, prevention strategies, and optimal caregiving methods to improve patients’ quality of life. The speakers highlighted the vital role of media in correcting misconceptions related to chronic diseases. The event saw significant student engagement and dynamic discussions on supporting patients’ families, reaffirming PUA’s commitment to fostering interdisciplinary cooperation to build a health-conscious community.
