As part of the Architectural Design course and graduation project, the Architectural Engineering Department organized a workshop for the first group of students. This course aims to support students in the planning and design stages of their bachelor’s projects.

Accordingly, the Department hosted Prof. Dr. Hany Mohamed Ayad, Professor of Urban Design and Urban Planning at Alexandria University and Consultant to the Urban Planning Authority, Ministry of Housing and Utilities. Dr. Ayad presented the course material to the students and trained them for five hours to find suitable planning solutions at the urban level for the location of the proposed projects in the Downtown area.

Furthermore, the workshop included numerous activities varying between theoretical guidance, scientific performance, and participation from the workshop organizers, as well as from the students themselves. The workshop ended with the presentation of five proposals for urban planning for the area subject of the study.
