A Field Visit to “Sawari” Project Site
The Architectural Engineering Department at PUA’s Faculty of Engineering, organized an extensive field visit for 2nd-year students to the “Sawari” project site in Alexandria. This initiative activates the agreement signed between the Department and Seif Real Estate Investment Company to engage students in major executive projects, and serves as a practical application of the Building Construction 4.
The student delegation was received by Engineer Amr, who provided a detailed explanation of the execution mechanisms and engineering installation methods for gypsum false ceilings. Students inspected the floor and planter box waterproofing procedures to prevent water leakage, and observed the methods of fixing Glass Reinforced Concrete (GRC) panels on the exterior facades, directly contributing to bridging theoretical curricula with real-world applications at construction sites.
