A Field Visit to Ragab Farms
PUA’s Faculty of Financial and Administrative Sciences went on an exploratory field visit to Ragab Farms. This initiative aims to introduce students to the integrated production cycle and logistical management mechanisms within major agricultural and industrial enterprises, activating the Faculty’s vision to support applied learning and align academic curricula with labor market realities.
The faculty delegation was warmly received by the farms’ management. The CEO commenced the activities by delivering an intensive, specialized introductory lecture. He reviewed the managerial and technical methods utilized in planning various agricultural phases, mass production mechanisms, manufacturing line engineering, and quality control systems within packaging and wrapping operations, highlighting the latest global technologies applied in this vital sector.
Following the lecture, students engaged in an extensive field tour across the open fields, greenhouses, and production lines. This exposure allowed them to observe growth and production phases firsthand, while analyzing the smart technologies used in farm management and operation, alongside production costing and logistical flows. The delegation concluded its field program by interacting directly with engineers and supervisors before returning to the university campus, successfully sharpening the students’ analytical capabilities and enriching their administrative knowledge.
