Pharos University received a high-level delegation of Yunnan University in China on Tuesday, 14 January 2020. The delegation was comprised of Prof. Hussien Ibrahim, the former Cultural Attaché of Egypt in the People’s Republic of China and a Consultant to Pharos University on Egyptian-Chinese relations. The delegation was received by Prof. Mahmoud Mohy El Din, the President of Pharos University; Prof. Nourhan Fanaky, the Vice President of Education and Student Affairs; Prof. Tarek Taha, the Dean of the Faculty of Financial and Administrative Sciences; Prof. Mohamed Gaber, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering; Prof. Leyal Kamel, the Dean of the Faculty of Languages and Translation; Prof. Nahed Abdallah, the Head of the Chinese Language Department at the Faculty of Languages and Translation; Prof. Wael Moustafa, the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Financial and Administrative Sciences and the Faculty International Relations Coordinator; Dr. Mohamed Abdelfattah Ragab, the Secretary General and Dr. Mennatallah Gowayed, the PUA International Relations Coordinator. The visit featured discussing many topics, including seeking means of cooperation between Yunnan University and the Chinese Language Department and other faculties of Pharos University. On their part, the delegation of the Chinese University expressed their approval of launching a student exchange programme between the two universities to open up an opportunity for PUA students to study business administration at Yunnan University in China. This was in addition to implement a faculty exchange programme in different specializations with the aim of exchanging expertise between the two parties. At the end of the visit, Prof. Mahmoud Mohy El Din presented the university plaque to the representatives of Yunnan University.
