A Field Visit Department to New Alamein City

The Architectural Engineering Department at PUA’s Faculty of Engineering, went on a field visit to New Alamein City. This initiative aims to strengthen the practical dimension of the educational process, providing students with the opportunity to explore one of Egypt’s most prominent modern sustainable urban development projects.

PUA’s delegation was received by the President of the New Alamein City Authority and Supervisor of the Tourist Villages Authority, Vice President of the New Alamein City Authority, the Beach Towers Execution Director, along with the General Manager of Public Relations and Development). The authority officials welcomed the student delegation, emphasizing the centrality of such visits in developing youth awareness regarding contemporary urban advancements.

The visit commenced with a detailed presentation outlining the city’s construction phases and the core planning vision aimed at establishing an integrated urban community based on environmental sustainability and technological evolution, while reviewing key ongoing national projects. The presentation was followed by an inspection tour that included the beach towers, service hubs, and recreational areas. This allowed students to observe modern design methodologies, analyze the organization of urban spaces, and study the various circulation and network systems within the city. This step serves as a vital movement toward equipping future graduates with the necessary expertise to handle future challenges in the fields of architecture and urban planning.
