World Pharmacists Day
In line with PUA’s commitment to supporting the vital role of pharmacists and advancing awareness of the pharmaceutical profession within healthcare ecosystems, the Faculty of Pharmacy hosted a commemorative event celebrating World Pharmacists Day. The gathering brought together faculty leadership, academic members, and a large cohort of pharmacy students.
The event featured a joint scientific lecture delivered by Dr. Alaa Eissa, Consultant of Clinical Pharmacy, and Dr. Magdy Awad, former General Manager of Scientific Offices at Medical Union Pharmaceuticals (MUP). The speakers addressed critical topics surrounding modern pharmacy practice, focusing on patient-centered pharmaceutical care, evolving industry trends, and the necessity of lifelong learning to meet dynamic labor market demands and community needs.
This initiative underscores PUA’s dedication to connecting students with industry leaders and seasoned clinicians, offering valuable career guidance across retail, clinical, and industrial pharmacy sectors. By bridging academic instruction with practical field insights, PUA continues to empower future pharmaceutical professionals to contribute effectively to health outcomes and national community welfare.
