First Aid Workshop and Emergency Medicine

PUA’s Faculty of Physical Therapy organized a workshop on First Aids and Emergency Medicine, in cooperation with the Health Affairs Directorate in Alexandria. During the workshop, Dr. Eman Gaber familiarized the students with the necessary first aids. She also highlighted the fundamentals and principles of first aids, and skills need to handle the cases of fainting, suffocation, and poisoning.  In addition, she showed the proper way to handle the cases of fractures and burns, bleeding, and CPR.

The workshop also emphasized that the purpose of first aid is to preserve the life of the injured, prevent harm, and accelerate recovery by providing initial treatment for the injury. In addition, Dr. Gaber performed a practical training experience on basic CPR using the latest simulation devices in the presence of numerous students, faculty members, and the Director of Alexandria Physical Therapy Syndicate.
