Décor Outstanding Students Visit Halomy Furniture Factory

The Faculty of Arts and Design organized for the outstanding students enrolled in different levels in the Décor Department a scientific visit to the Halomy Furniture Factory. Eng. Muhammad Shawqi, from the factory management, received, accompanied, and introduced the students to the stages of raw materials production and manufacturing, the latest materials, and modern production lines.

He also gave them a thorough explanation on CNC machines, furniture laser engraving, how to operate them, and displayed many of the previously-made models. Then the students along with the faculty members took an inspection tour inside the factory and the annexed exhibition.

This visit aimed at promoting the academic and practical levels of the students of the Décor Department. It also links their theoretical studies with reality. At the end of the visit, the students thanked the factory management for the warm reception and the valuable information presented during the visit. They also asked the accompanying faculty members to organize similar visits.

However, this visit was accompanied by Prof. Dr. Hanan Sobhy, Professor and Head of the Décor, Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohamed Eid, Assistant Professor of Décor Department, Dr. Salma Youssef, Décor Department Lecturer, and Dr. Aya Fathy, Décor Department Lecturer.
