PUA’s Faculty of Tourism and Hotel Management recently hosted a virtual lecture titled “The Impact of Social Media on Marketing Tourist Destinations.” The lecture was delivered by Mr. Jeyhun Nasibbayli, Strategy Director at Rotana International Group in Qatar. The lecture encompassed various topics related to tourism marketing through social media, including innovative promotional strategies, managing advertising campaigns on social media platforms, and analyzing data and information derived from audience engagement.

This lecture provided a significant opportunity for students to comprehend the crucial role of social media in promoting tourist destinations and how to utilize these platforms effectively to achieve tourism marketing objectives. The insights shared during the lecture equipped students with essential skills for promoting tourist destinations via social media, enhancing their understanding of utilizing available tools to maximize the potential of these platforms in the context of tourism marketing.
