The Faculty of Languages and Translation participates in developing “7ling” application that helps Arab immigrants and refugees in European countries among with five Egyptian and six European universities. This application helps immigrants and refugees speak six languages: Spanish, English, French, German, Italian and Portuguese. In addition to that, a new update has been developed to serve those who speak Arabic and are not good in other languages. It is worth mentioning that it is a free and non-profit application funded by EU Erasmus+ Programme.

The application allows users to effectively communicate in vital life situations such as:

  • Arriving in a European country.
  • Wanting to visit a city’s landmarks.
  • Looking for an accommodation and explaining how to complete residence documents.

In addition to that, the application offers cultural and social information as well as various exercises that help immigrants and refugees to adapt to the surrounding environment in European countries.
