The Faculty of Arts and Design organized a workshop entitled “The Combination of Monotype printing and Embroidery” on Tuesday, 15 December 2020. The workshop was managed under the supervision of Prof. Nahla El Deeb, the Acting Head of the Fashion Design Department and Ms. Dina El Kalaf, an Assistant Lecturer in the department. The lecture included the combination between the monotype printing and its most important characteristics such as:

  • The easy printing process in short time.
  • The creation of different unique designs.
  • The freedom to experience various inexpensive technologies.

Moreover, the lecturer included an introduction of embroidery, how to combine stitches to create multiple embroidered drawings and how to diversify the use of different fabrics, yarn and sewing needle of different types and sizes.
