Sustainability as a Visual Experience
PUA’s Community Service and Environmental Development Center (CSED), in collaboration with the Green Pharos Committee at the Faculty of Arts and Design, held an awareness-raising artistic activity titled “Sustainability as a Visual Experience” as part of PUA’s third environmental campaign. The activity aimed to activate the role of visual arts in expressing contemporary environmental issues and entrenching a culture of sustainability through creative forms that resonate with social consciousness.
The event featured a collection of artistic works embodying the concepts of recycling and natural resource conservation in innovative ways, reflecting students’ awareness of art as an influential tool in shifting environmental behaviors. The activity saw significant student engagement, presenting diverse visual perspectives that advocate for environmental protection and the adoption of sustainable daily practices. This initiative is part of PUA’s strategy to integrate environmental issues into various academic disciplines and encourage students to craft innovative awareness messages that serve the community and preserve its resources.
