In alignment with its sustainability and inclusion commitments, PUA’s Faculty of Arts and Design organized a series of eco-friendly art workshops at Taha Hussein Center for Students with Disabilities (Alexandria University), utilizing recycled materials. The event was held under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Etman, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Zeinab El-Demerdash, Dean of the Faculty, supervised by Dr. Aya Mohamed Fathi, Community Service Committee Coordinator, in collaboration with the Intellectual and Environmental Development Association and the Egyptian Union for Educational Policies and Research.

Participants from the People of Determination community crafted innovative artworks from recycled paper, including heritage-inspired models reflecting Siwa Oasis’s cultural legacy, a creative redesign of Alexandria University’s logo.

Dr. Mahmoud Farag, Head of the Center’s Inclusion Unit, emphasized that “this initiative fosters social inclusion and environmental citizenship while showcasing the creative potential of People of Determination.” The event aligns with PUA’s strategy to strengthen its position as an eco-friendly institution within the UI Green Metric ranking.
