The Egyptian – American Film and Arts Festival in its first session 2021, has awarded a special certificate for the short animation film “Recycle” which was directed by Mohamed Said Badr, and its production was in 2019. The film was a graduation project from the Media Arts department of the Faculty of Arts and Design, Pharos University. The Festival was dedicated to the soul of the writer “Wahid Hammed” and the artist “Samir Ghanem”, it was set up in the main Theatre at St. Francis College, Brooklyn, New York, USA. It took place from 19/11/2021 to 21/11/2021, the jury of International Film Competition was headed by the writer “Safwat Youssef” and the grand director “Ali Badrakhan”. The festival featured around 91 films ranging from short, long and documentary, from 13 different countries. The film has also won the award for the best animation film in the Egyptian (VS Film) Competition for Short Films within the activities of the French (Trè core) Festival and it came to the finalists at three festivals in three different countries (Kenya, USA and Nigeria). The film was screened in a number of festivals inside and outside Egypt to bring the total number of festivals that the film has participated into 23 festivals.
