Quantity Surveying Workshop for Interior Design
PUA’s Faculty of Arts and Design hosted a specialized workshop titled “Methodologies of Measuring and Quantity Surveying for Interior Design Works.” This activity reflects the faculty’s commitment to strengthening the practical side for students, linking their academic studies with the actual skills required by the labor market in the decor and construction sectors.
The workshop focused on precise measurement methods for various elements within architectural spaces, providing a detailed explanation of how to link these measurements to executive drawings. The training content included techniques for using both traditional and digital tools in quantity surveying, ensuring total integration between the design vision and the actual implementation phases with utmost accuracy and efficiency.
In addition, the event aimed to empower students to estimate project costs realistically and develop their abilities to manage interior design projects with high professionalism. These skills contribute to enhancing graduates’ readiness to compete in the modern labor market, as the ability to calculate quantities accurately is a fundamental pillar for the success of an interior designer in a professional work environment.
