It is with great pleasure that PUA’s Faculty of Pharmacy welcomes Dr. Nancy Ali Mahfouz as a keynote speaker at the 4th PUA International Conference Perspectives in Pharmaceutical Sciences, “Digitalization and Sustainability”(ICPPS-2024). Dr. Nancy Ali Mahfouz, Pharm-D, is the head of the Clinical Pharmacy, Department of Neuropsychiatry, Alexandria University Hospitals.

From 2016 till present, she has been participating academically as a lecturer practitioner and clinical instructor at the Department of Clinical Pharmacy Practice, Faculty of Pharmacy. Alexandria University, presenting practice-based lectures and tutorials for the postgraduate and undergraduate Pharm-D programs and the former clinical pharmacy program. She has also been giving courses for the management of neuropsychiatric disorders and practical skills for the application of clinical pharmacy in hospital settings.

Recently, she has joined the Department of Clinical Pharmacy Practice, PUA as a visiting lecturer, and participated as a speaker at different international conferences, “Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Sciences (PHS)” 2019 & 2022, Cardio Alex 2019, 2021 & 2023, the 2nd PUA International Conference 2020, Alexandria Anaesthesia, Surgical Intensive Care Conference” 2019. It is also worth mentioning that she received her bachelor’s degree in pharmaceutical sciences in 2007, and Postgraduate Pharm-D in 2015.

Dr. Nancy is set to deliver a lecture entitled “Opportunities, Challenges, and Ethical Implications of Using Artificial Intelligence in Psychiatry: Introducing Sustainable Services for Mental Health Care.
