The Faculty of Mass Communication Arts organized a field visit for 3rd year students in the Journalism and Digital Publishing Department to Youm7 Newspaper. Dr. Muhammad Tharwat, editor-in-chief, welcomed the students and took them on a tour through the newspaper’s partitions and sections. Further, he taught them about the history of the newspaper, its digital beginning, its transformation into a printed newspaper, and development of its website.

This tour came within the framework of PUA’s keenness on sharpening the practical and training skills of its students to enable them to compete in the labor market.

In addition, during the tour, the students learned how to implement programs, visited the integrated editing room with its various sections, the disk unit, its operations, and its various tasks.

The visit also witnessed a warm welcome from the Newspaper’s officials, who praised the role of the Faculty in integrating the educational process with competitions in the labor market in light of the digital transformation.
