Pharos University in Alexandria (PUA) works relentlessly to fulfill its role in community participation, provide support to and interaction with community institutions, especially those providing care for people with special needs. In this context, PUA participated in the marathon organized by Nile of Hope Hospital for Children with Congenital Anomalies. Numerous PUA students participated in the running race, in addition to some other student activities.

Prof. Dr. Mohamed Etman, Acting Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, has recommended to fully support this initiative, which aims to support this charitable hospital. In addition to highlighting the importance of supporting societal trends to provide care for this social category. At the end of the marathon, PUA’s Dentistry student Maryam Amr Ali, was the first female contestant to finish the marathon, and the fourth in overall ranking.
