Pharos University in Alexandria (PUA), in the context of the African international relations, participated in the African Forum on Innovation and Technology, held at the Electronics Research Institute in Cairo. In its second edition, the forum included 14 African countries represented by universities, schools, research institutions, and embassies, as well as international students. The conference included a speech by Prof. Dr. Islam Abul-Magd, Deputy Advisor to the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research for African Affairs and Technology. In addition to several distinguished lectures from various participating universities.

 

Furthermore, PUA has jointly submitted several distinguished projects. The project of the Mechanical Engineering Department, Innovation Center (PUA innovation -CNC), Faculty of Engineering won the first place. While (PUA innovation – Smart Irrigation) team won the second prize. PUA entrepreneurship-Hsport PUA’s Center for Career Preparation and Entrepreneurship, however; won an incentive prize amidst tough competition between 88 participating teams from African universities.

 

This was done under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Nabil Rashwan, supervisor of the Innovation Club at the Faculrt of Engineering, and Dr. Nourhan Al-Haridy, African International Relations Coordinator, and Lecturer in the Architectural Engineering Department. friendship. As well as Dr. Amira Al-Adly, Coordinator of the Advertising Committee, Faculty of Engineering, and Eng. Sarah Hussein, lecturer at the Center for Career Preparation and Entrepreneurship.
