Marathon Towards Green Pharos

Within the framework of the third environmental campaign “Green Pharos,” the Community Service and Environmental Development Center (CSED), in cooperation with the Green Pharos Committee at the Faculty of Languages and Translation, hosted an innovative student activity titled “Marathon Towards Green Pharos.” The initiative aimed to promote a culture of sustainability and raise students’ awareness of the university’s pivotal role in transitioning toward an eco-friendly educational environment.

The event took the form of an interactive knowledge competition, featuring diverse questions about PUA’s history, the development rates of academic courses, and general information highlighting the institution’s efforts in adopting responsible environmental practices. The marathon witnessed remarkable enthusiasm from participants, which helped consolidate scientific and environmental information in a style that blends learning with entertainment.

Dr. Sayed Hassouna, representative of the Green Pharos Committee, praised the awareness level of the participating students and distributed commemorative gifts at the conclusion of the race. CSED emphasized that these activities aim to build a conscious generation that understands the dimensions of sustainable development and takes responsibility for environmental issues, aligning with PUA’s vision to prepare youth capable of leading positive change.
