The Hotel Management Department at PUA’s Faculty of Tourism and Hotel Management organized its annual scientific conference to present 2024-2025 academic year achievements, attended by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Nassar, Dean of the Faculty, faculty members, students, alumni, and leading hospitality industry experts. The event highlighted the department’s efforts to bridge academic learning with practical skills while fostering industry partnerships.

The conference showcased key accomplishments, including innovative student projects in hotel management and hospitality, and field training programs with top-tier hotels designed to equip students with evolving industry demands. Discussions also addressed modernizing curricula to align with global tourism trends.

Prominent industry leaders participated in sessions, such as Mr. Mohamed Galal, Revenue Manager at Grand Plaza Hotel; Mr. Sherif Magdy, Sales Director at the same hotel; and Mr. Islam Ramadan, HR Manager at Hilton Green Plaza. They praised students’ practical proficiency and ability to apply academic theories to real-world scenarios, emphasizing “the critical need for academia-industry collaboration to align graduate skills with market needs.”

Prof. Dr. Nassar stated, “This conference reflects our vision to nurture leaders capable of driving hospitality industry transformations,” adding that “strategic partnerships with the sector will remain central to our academic and research roadmap.”
