In a bid to link the academic content with field visits, the Petrochemical Engineering Department, in cooperation with the Basic Sciences Department at PUA’s Faculty of Engineering, organized a field visit to Sidi Kerir Petrochemicals Company (SIDPEC)

This visit was dedicated for the freshman students, as a practical application of what they had studied in the general chemistry course (EB 131). At the beginning of the field visit, SIDPEC welcomed the visiting students, and an introductory lecture was presented on the various units of the company.

After that, they visited the (DCS) unit and were familiarized with the various control systems, followed by the laboratories where all students’ questions and inquiries were answered.
