The Faculty of Arts and Design seeks to link the educational process with the requirements of the labor market. In this context, the Fashion Design Department conducted a field visit to the Awlad Naga Factory for ready-made garments in Al-Labban area, Alexandria.

During this visit, the students went through all stages of manufacturing, starting from the design stage, pattern making, interlocking, and grading. Then, the stages of inspection, straightening, cutting, knitting and assembling. After that, the stages of ironing, packing and wrapping, and machine embroidery come.

At the end of the visit, the students visited the Factory’s exhibition. The whole visit was very successful and purposeful for the students to link between the theoretical and practical aspects of the labor market. As well as learning about labor policies in factories and marketing mechanisms for the labor market.
