About Journal

Pharos Journal for Architecture and Planning (PJArchp) is a peer-reviewed open access journal that is published by the Department of Architecture at Faculty of Engineering at Pharos University in Alexandria. PJArchp is dedicated to publishing peer-reviewed, original, high-quality research papers and review papers on both traditional and emergent science and technology areas. The overall emphasis is on novel and rigorous scientific research findings that have broad implications.

PJArchp specializes in architecture and environmental engineering, sustainable design practices, urban regeneration strategies, smart city technologies, housing policies and practices, geographic information systems (GIS) applications, artificial intelligence in design processes, and community engagement in planning. Papers that incorporate knowledge from other disciplines into architecture, such as nanotechnology, material sciences, and computational approaches, as well as applied basic sciences: engineering mathematics, are highly encouraged. The journal aims to bridge the gap between theoretical advancements and actual implementations, benefiting both academic researchers and practicing engineers. In this regard, contributions from practicing engineers are particularly welcome.
