PUA 3rd International ELT Conference 2025

Pharos University in Alexandria proudly announces the PUA ELC 3rd conference in collaboration with Norwich Institute for Language Education (NILE) to celebrate their 30th birthday. This is a call to all professionals actively engaged in enhancing ESL teaching and to those seeking to improve their pedagogical expertise. This event is totally free of charge as it is being sponsored by both NILE and PUA as part of their long-life collaboration in professionally developing language teachers. 

This conference is regarded as our gate to boosting our teaching proficiency, exchanging classroom experiences and developing our educational competencies. 

Let’s gather together as teachers who share the same concern of refining educational methodologies and embracing real change. It’s our devotion to provide ourselves with new techniques, tools and technologies in order to inspire each other and engage our students in the learning process.

PUA 2nd International ELT Symposium 2017

Pharos University in Alexandria 2nd International ELT Symposium was held on September 16 th 2017. The symposium hosted 300 language teachers and international speakers. There were also specialised speakers who conducted a number of workshops in topics related to Innovation in Education. This symposium is an excellent forum for researchers and practitioners to exchange ideas, experiences, opinions and research results relating to learning and teaching. 2nd International ELT Symposium

PUA 1st International ELT Symposium 2016

Pharos University in Alexandria held its 1st international English Language Teaching symposium on Saturday September 3rd in Mr Mohamed Ragab auditorium hall. The symposium hosted 300 language teachers and international speakers from NILE, Pearson and Cambridge. There were also specialised speakers who conducted a number of workshops in topics related to effective teaching. The event was the first of its kind in Alexandria and the university. You are invited to submit your abstracts and participate in PUA 1st International ELT Symposium by giving presentations or workshops. Click here to know about the symposium’s topics. Deadline for submitting your abstract is mid July.

Oral presentation: a 35-minute presentation covering a new teaching idea or technique.
