Computer Science Hosts an Orientation Day

PUA’s Faculty of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence hosted a comprehensive Orientation Day to welcome newly admitted students for the new academic year. The event aimed to prepare students for a smooth transition into university life. The Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs welcomed the incoming cohort, emphasizing PUA’s commitment to providing an advanced educational environment that fosters innovation and keeps pace with rapid advancements in computer science and artificial intelligence, thereby preparing competitive graduates for the global job market.

The Dean of the Faculty welcomed the new cohort, highlighting the faculty’s vision of offering an integrated educational experience that merges academic theory with practical application while enhancing students’ technological capabilities. Furthermore, faculty members presented the operational roles of specialized university committees designed to support student life, including the Student Activities Committee, the Community Service Committee, the Field Training Center, the Special Needs Center, and the “Green Pharos” sustainability initiative.

The event featured interactive sessions where faculty members and academic advisors addressed student inquiries regarding academic systems and credit hours. This initiative provided clear guidance on university procedures and academic advising, enabling students to commence their higher education journey with confidence and seamlessly integrate into the university community.
