Anti-Anemia Campaign

PUA’s Community Service and Environmental Development Center (CSED), in cooperation with the Faculty of Applied Health Sciences Technology, launched an extensive awareness campaign on “Anemia.” This initiative stems from PUA’s deep commitment to spreading health literacy and enhancing community awareness among students, aiming to identify the causes, symptoms, and prevention methods of the disease, alongside the centrality of proper nutrition.

The campaign featured a package of medical and educational guidelines illustrating the impact of anemia on general health and cognitive capacity among youth, emphasizing the necessity of consuming foods rich in iron and essential vitamins, particularly within the university student demographic. The initiative included an interactive step, distributing fresh fruits and various healthy foods to participants to encourage sound dietary habits and reinforce the concept of balanced nutrition as a primary defense shield against the disease.

The campaign drew dynamic interaction and high attendance from students and members of the academic community, who praised the importance of such field initiatives in promoting health awareness and fostering positive lifestyle practices across the campus.
