An Extensive Campaign for Energy Conservation
PUA’s Community Service Center, in cooperation with the Pharos Green Committee at the Faculty of Legal Studies and International Transactions, launched an environmental awareness campaign titled “Turn It Off.” This initiative falls within PUA’s third environmental campaign, “Green Pharos,” aiming to raise awareness regarding the importance of rationalizing electricity consumption, fostering positive environmental behaviors, and reinforcing a culture of sustainability and resource preservation among students.
The campaign witnessed dynamic participation and active engagement from the faculty’s students, who organized field tours across campus halls carrying educational posters and instructional signs urging a reduction in energy consumption. The initiative focused on the positive impact of turning off unused electronic devices and lighting to conserve energy and reduce carbon and thermal waste. The event also featured a package of environmental guidelines and eco-friendly practices, activating PUA’s developmental strategy to transform the campus into a sustainable environment.
The campaign drew wide positive feedback and praise from students and faculty members alike, owing to its clear messaging that enhances social and environmental responsibility among youth, preparing a generation conscious of global energy and climate challenges.
