As part of its second environmental campaign, “Green Pharos”, PUA’s Faculty of Arts and Design organized a pivotal awareness seminar titled: “Criteria for Achieving Sustainability in Your Project: How to Apply Sustainable Development Goals to Make Your Project Environmentally Friendly.”
The seminar saw significant attendance from students across various academic levels, particularly graduating students. It addressed methods for integrating sustainable development goals into design projects, and the importance of using environmentally friendly materials and sustainable design techniques, alongside presenting examples of successful projects. This highlights the faculty’s commitment to deepening the practical understanding of sustainable design principles.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Salma Youssef Wahba, coordinator of the “Green Pharos” committee, moderated the seminar, emphasizing the importance of fostering environmental awareness and empowering students to innovate responsible solutions that serve the environment and society. This initiative underscores the faculty’s leading role in driving environmental innovation within its academic halls.
