A Solidarity Initiative to Support Families in Alexandria
PUA’s Faculty of Financial and Administrative Sciences, under the supervision of PUA’s Community Service and Environmental Development Center (CSED), launched an extensive humanitarian and community initiative to distribute 148 kilograms of meat to eligible and low-income families. This initiative aims to solidify the values of social solidarity and activate the developmental role of academic institutions.
The initiative was executed in logistical partnership with a number of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and civil society institutions active across various districts of Alexandria Governorate. These NGOs included Al-Mutadar’oon Association in Abis, Nab’a El-Hob Association in Smouha, Al-Qal’a Association in El-Awayed, Mujeeb El-Sa’ileen Association in Rab’a Al-Nasriya, Tarek El-Khair Association in Smouha, and Al-Istiqlal Charity Association in Abdel Qader (Toshka). The scope of the initiative expanded to include distributing quantities of clothing and children’s toys, aiming to bring joy to the supported families and care for their children.
The event witnessed active and dynamic field participation from the faculty’s students, who honorably embodied the spirit of giving and social responsibility in organizing, packaging, and delivering aid to its beneficiaries. This engagement successfully translates PUA’s humanitarian mission toward community service and environmental development, while building a student personality conscious of national and societal needs.
