PUA’s Faculty of Engineering held the “Scientific Day of the Electrical Engineering Department,” attended by a distinguished group of faculty members and students.

The event commenced with an opening speech by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Hamdy, Head of the Department, who welcomed the attendees and highlighted the department’s key achievements during the 2024-2025 academic year. These included the accreditation of the department’s programs for five years and updates to human resources and curricula in alignment with sustainable development goals.

Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Mohamed El-Meligy, Dean of the Faculty, praised the efforts in organizing the event, emphasizing the importance of developing students’ professional and cognitive skills to keep pace with market developments and modern requirements.

In a gesture of appreciation, both the Dean and the Head of the Department honored several adjunct faculty members who contributed to enhancing the department’s academic standards over the years.

In addition, the event featured two insightful lectures:

Dr. Mohamed Moawad delivered a first one titled “Fresh Graduate Roadmap,” discussing practical steps for students post-graduation, including building a successful engineering career path through personal and technical skill development, resume preparation, and leveraging training opportunities.

While Eng. Ehab El-Naggar presented the second titled “Is the One-stop Shop a Successful Model?” where he explored the concept of a “one-stop shop” in industrial and commercial sectors, its effectiveness in streamlining operations, and achieving service integration, sparking interest and fruitful discussions among attendees.

The event concluded with Prof. Dr. Mohamed Hamdy honoring the top-performing students in recognition of their academic excellence, amidst an atmosphere of joy and celebration.
