In a proactive move to enhance campus safety, PUA’s Faculty of Pharmacy conducted a comprehensive emergency evacuation drill under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Majed El-Ghazouly, Dean of the Faculty, and Dr. Enas Masoud, Head of the Quality Assurance Unit, in coordination with PUA’s Occupational Health and Safety, and Security Departments.

The drill aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of current evacuation protocols, identify strengths and areas for improvement, and train students and staff in responding to emergencies such as fires, earthquakes, and security threats.

A specialized monitoring team assessed participants’ adherence to safety procedures, response times, and overall coordination. Results revealed high compliance rates and heightened safety awareness among attendees, though minor procedural adjustments were noted for optimization.

Prof. El-Ghazouly stated, “This exercise underscores our commitment to global safety standards,” while Dr. Masoud added, “Regular drills will become integral to our strategy for maintaining a secure campus environment.”
