Hypertension Awareness Campaign
Health awareness serves as the foundation for a healthier life. Within the framework of promoting preventive healthcare and community wellbeing, PUA’s Community Service and Environmental Development Center (CSED) hosted a comprehensive hypertension awareness campaign at the Faculty of Applied Health Sciences Technology. The initiative focused on highlighting the risks of high blood pressure and emphasizing the critical importance of early detection and routine monitoring.
The campaign unfolded in two distinct phases: it commenced with an educational seminar covering hypertension risk factors, lifestyle modifications, dietary salt reduction, and the role of regular physical activity in cardiovascular health. The program then transitioned to the faculty courtyard, where qualified participants conducted free blood pressure screenings for staff, faculty, and students to promote continuous health tracking.
In addition, the campaign featured the distribution of natural healthy beverages alongside practical guidance on nutrient-dense dietary choices to maintain optimal blood pressure levels. This event reinforces CSED’s commitment to leading preventative health initiatives and advancing the overall quality of life across its campus community.
