PUA’s Faculty of Arts and Design hosted an insightful workshop titled “Art as a Communication Enhancer.” The primary objective was to highlight the pivotal role of artistic expression in strengthening human communication skills and providing innovative tools for self-expression. This initiative aims to foster a deeper understanding of social interactions and personal growth through non-traditional creative mediums.

The workshop was led by Dr. Amira Soliman El-Sayed Mohamed, a certified Integrative Arts Therapist from Switzerland, who shared her extensive expertise in the field of art therapy. She discussed how creative practices can effectively support proactive communication and self-awareness, building bridges of positive interaction between individuals. The session emphasized that art serves as a powerful psychological tool that facilitates mutual understanding and emotional intelligence, transcending the limitations of verbal communication.

The event saw remarkable engagement from participants, featuring hands-on practical activities and innovative methods that utilized art as a primary communication channel. These activities significantly contributed to enhancing creative skills and promoting social cohesion among attendees. The faculty reaffirmed that such workshops are part of its commitment to providing educational activities that align with modern global trends, bridging the gap between academic learning and practical applications to serve the psychosocial needs of the community and link art with human reality.
