Crime and Voiceprint
PUA’s Faculty of Mass Communication hosted a seminar titled “Crime and Voiceprint”. The lecture was delivered by Dr. Iman Yousry, a voiceprint expert specializing in forensic phonetics and voice disguise.
Dr. Iman Yousry explained that the voiceprint relies on anatomical aspects and the speaker’s style and manner. She defined what sound is and its uses in crime and forensic phonetics. The seminar was attended by Prof. Dr. Naila Emara, Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Maged El Manzalawy, Student Activities Coordinator, and several faculty members, teaching assistants, and students.
