In an atmosphere filled with creativity and pride, PUA’s Faculty of Applied Health Sciences Technology and Technology held a celebration to honor a selected group of its academically and scientifically outstanding students, in recognition of their efforts and achievements during the academic year. This is part of PUA’s ongoing efforts to foster a culture of excellence and innovation and support promising talents among its students.
The ceremony was attended by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Etman, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs; Prof. Dr. Sami Abdel Rahman Amr Erfan, Dean of the Faculty; and Prof. Dr. Hamdy El-Wakil, Vice Dean, along with faculty members. The event was marked by a celebratory atmosphere of pride and joy, with the participation of parents who were keen to share the moments of honor and pride with their children.
During his speech, Dr. Etman expressed PUA’s pride in its outstanding students, affirming that excellence is the fruit of diligence and hard work, and that its continuous successes reflect its commitment to providing an educational environment that stimulates creativity and scientific superiority. He also called on students to continue striving for excellence and to follow the path of their honored colleagues toward ambition and achievement.
In this context, the concept of “Excellence Courses” was introduced as an innovative mechanism for selecting outstanding students in each faculty. One course is identified per semester (two courses annually) by specialists within the faculties, and any student achieving a grade of A or A+ in these courses is considered an outstanding student. Additionally, ten students from each faculty are selected each semester to be honored on the outstanding list in recognition of their academic excellence, provided they excel in both the first and second semester’s Excellence Course for the same year.
Through this system, PUA seeks to foster a spirit of positive competition and innovation among students, provide greater opportunities for distinction and creativity, and grant special privileges to the outstanding students commensurate with their level of academic achievement, thereby motivating them to continue their success and excellence.
The ceremony concluded with an affirmation of PUA’s firm commitment to supporting academic excellence and fostering student creativity, as a leading educational institution striving to prepare a outstanding generation capable of effectively contributing to achieving Egypt’s Vision 2030 and Sustainable Development Goals.
