PUA’s Architectural Engineering Department organized an educational visit for third-year students (6th semester) to the Bibliotheca Alexandrina as part of the EA312-Architectural Design (4) course, supervised by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pakenam Nabil and accompanied by T. A. Eng. Aya Walid.

Dr. Faten Fares welcomed the students and accompanied them on an introductory tour of the library, where she familiarized them with the main areas and various spaces within this prominent cultural landmark. She explained to the students the functional relationships between the library spaces, circulation elements, and diverse services.

Students had the opportunity to visit the museums located within the library and take the required measurements of the main spaces, applying what they had studied theoretically in a real-world context.

The visit achieved significant benefits for the students by connecting theoretical aspects with practical application, enriching their architectural knowledge and positively impacting their design projects in the course, while enhancing their understanding of spatial and functional relationships in cultural buildings.
