Launching “Jusoor” Initiative with AUC
In a bid to empower youth with practical skills for workforce integration, Pharos University in Alexandria (PUA) has partnered with the American University in Cairo’s (AUC) School of Global Affairs and Public Policy (GAPP) to launch the “Jusoor” (Bridges) Initiative. The five-day free training program, hosted at AUC’s downtown Cairo campus, targets PUA’s senior students, with five participants selected across faculties.
The curriculum hones critical employability skills, including effective communication and presentation techniques, CV writing and job interview strategies, promoting gender inclusion and equality. It also included crafting a professional personal brand, and foundations of data analysis and visualization.
Graduates of the program will receive a joint certification from the “Jusoor” Initiative and AUC’s School of Global Affairs, bolstering their competitiveness in Egypt’s evolving job market. This initiative aligns with Pharos University’s strategic vision to bridge academic training with national development goals through youth empowerment.
