PUA’s Faculty of Arts and Design wrapped up the 2nd edition of the Pharos International Art Symposium 2025 under the theme “Inspired by Civilization, Art is the Language of the World.” The closing ceremony drew university leaders and renowned artists, whose diverse works bridged cultural and human connections through universal artistic expression.
23 artists from 7 countries—including England, Russia, Hungary, Turkey, Iraq, Germany, and Kosovo—joined Egyptian creatives to showcase pieces blending contemporary techniques with civilizational heritage in a shared creative space.
In his address, symposium commissioner Dr. Hussein Zahran stated, “This success solidifies the university’s role as a global cultural bridge,” attended by Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Mohieldin, PUA’s President; Prof. Dr. Nourhan Fanaky, Vice President for Quality Assurance; Prof. Dr. Alaa Ramadan, Vice President for Student Affairs; Prof. Dr. Mohamed Etman, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs; and Dr. Zeinab El-Demerdash, Dean of the Faculty, who praised Dr. Jehan Soliman and organizing committee head Dr. Aya Fathy for their pivotal roles.
The event concluded with an artists’ awards ceremony, reaffirming the symposium’s annual commitment to positioning Pharos University as a hub for international artistic dialogue.
