As part of welcoming new students for the new academic year, PUA’s Faculty of Arts and Design hosted a seminar titled “Your University, Your Home.” This was undertaken as part of the Faculty’s commitment to introduce new students to the Faculty’s facilities and its academic programs, and to enhance their sense of belonging to their university from the very first day of study.

The seminar aimed to familiarize students with the various facilities and highlight the services provided by the University to support the educational and creative process, in addition to directing them toward active participation in community service and student activities, thereby contributing to the development of their skills and refining their university personalities.

The seminar was presented by both Dr. Dina El Kalaf, a member of the Faculty’s Community Service Center, and Dr. Amira Hamdy, the Faculty’s Student Activities Coordinator. During the seminar, they discussed the importance of teamwork, social responsibility, and the role of activities in building a spirit of belonging and initiative among students. This seminar is part of a series of orientation events organized by the Faculty to support freshman students, and to establish the values of positive participation and engagement in university life from the beginning of their academic journey.
